About Us

Saint Louis University School of Medicine

The Ignatian Mission of Saint Louis University School of Medicine emphasizes the pursuit of excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community engagement through professional development, collaboration and social justice.

In support of this mission the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology is committed to creating a working environment in alignment with these core ideals with particular attention to cura perrsonalis, caring for the whole person (mind, body and spirit). Whether educating and mentoring our trainees or developing as faculty and researchers, or investing in our wider community through scientific outreach, we are guided by cura personalis.
